Michelle's debut novel, Birth Road,  published in April 2022 was the winner of the Margaret and John Savage First Book Award - Fiction at the 2024 Nova Scotia Book Awards.

 

Her short fiction has appeared in The Dalhousie Review and Moose House Publication's 2022 Short Story Collection, Blink and You'll Miss It.

Michelle has an English Degree from Dalhousie University and a Journalism Diploma from The Humber School of Journalism.

​

She is a proud member of the Writers Federation of Nova Scotia and the Writers Union of Canada. 

​

Michelle and her husband live on Nova Scotia's south shore  where they raised their two amazing sons. 

​

She is currently working on her second novel.
