Michelle briefly worked as a journalist after University and then spent many years working in communications for the government of Canada.  Her first novel, Birth Road, was published in April 2022.  Her short fiction has appeared in The Dalhousie Review and Moose House Publication's 2022 Short Story Collection, Blink and You'll Miss It.

Michelle has an English Degree from Dalhousie University and a Journalism Diploma from The Humber School of Journalism.

She is a proud member of the Writers Federation of Nova Scotia and the Writers Union of Canada.

Michelle and her husband live on Nova Scotia's south shore  where they raised their two amazing sons. 

​

She is currently working on her second novel.
